5th Annual Beta City to be Held on September 26 at City Garage

Maryland is home to a network of more than 45 incubators, accelerators and co-working spaces, offering startups shared resources, business assistance and access to equipment and facilities. One of the most notable is the award-winning Betamore, located at City Garage in Port Covington. Anchoring the growing technology ecosystem in Port Covington, Betamore is a campus for entrepreneurship and innovation, co-working space and dynamic community for the doers of Baltimore. Along with their mission of making Baltimore a global destination for entrepreneurship and innovation, Betamore supports startup companies by providing entrepreneurial education through bootcamps and workshops; beautifully designed workspaces and resources; and community building through networking opportunities with other startups, founder and professionals.

It’s no surprise that Betamore hosts Maryland’s largest celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship, Beta City. As Betamore’s annual fundraising event, Beta City gathers over 1,000 of the City’s greatest minds to recognize and celebrate Baltimore’s leaders, makers and innovators.

“One of the most positive things about Beta City is that it offers awareness, exposure, and networking from a ton of different people,” said Greg Cangialosi, co-founder of Betamore. “We want companies to be able to tell their stories to people that they might not normally get the opportunity to interact with.”

On September 26, 2019, for the fifth year, Beta City will be held in Port Covington at City Garage. Guests with VIP tickets will have access to the VC Pitch Competition (featuring a $25,000 grand prize), VIP Reception, as well as the Main Event. The Main Event, for VIPs and general guests, includes an evening of fun with a technology showcase, live music, and more.
